should i be worried about the back pain that i have upon waking up in the morning. most mornings when i get up my back, between my shoulder blades. its very tense and cracks easily, no real pain just very tense. i am wonder if i am sleeping on it wrong. t

I : I would recommend seeing a massage or physical therapist to help your muscle tension.   You may benefit from a firm mattress.  I would recommend trying them out before buying if at all possible.  Good luck!

Chronic Diarrhea: With diarrhea that has lasted this long, you need to be evaluated. There are several infectious and non-infectious causes. Get a referral to a gastroenterologist and have your stool tested for O&amp;P, get a full history and exam done. Wash your hands and stay hydrated.

Muscular: Most back pain in this area is muscular.  Your triggers also sound muscular.  If working out is aggravating it, you may need to eval your technique.  A trial of physical therapy may help to re-educate the muscles in this are and work on any imbalances.

Yes: Most of the times poor sleep postures are also associated with daytime poor postures. This creates fatigue and overload in some muscles leading to pain.

Too late: Since you have been waiting a while for this answer (sorry), I am sure it is too late to go to the er.  Back pain between the shoulder blades is one of the most common "pains" that i see in my practice and can be caused from many daily living activities from computer use to large breasts.  Have a chest x-ray to be safe especially if you are a smoker.

Get checked.: I don't want to be an alarmist, but you could be having symptoms related to your heart. Heart disease symptoms in women are especially difficult to sort out. Other possibilities, of course, include gastro-esophagel reflux and gallbladder stones. It's the part where you say the chest in the middle feels "bloated" that makes me want you to go off to the er to be checked. Good luck. Lgromkomd.

Start some pain meds: Lie aleve (naproxen) or Ibuprofen (if no allergies or side effects with their use). Using a heat pad would be helpful. Some like to use ice rather heat; even alternating ice with heat is helpful.
If no improvements then certainly see your pcp to be evaluated ; investigated.

Muscle but neurologi: This sounds muscular but  your physicians will evaluate you for a possible  neurologic cause.  It sounds  like exercise  helps nd this is a good sign.

Myofascial pain: This sounds like myofascial pain. Essentially this is abnormal symptoms related to tight muscles. If all other neurological causes are ruled out this could be a working diagnosis. Usually responds to trigger point injections

Scapula Pain: Inflammation can occur underneath the shoulder blade where there is a bursa. This is called scapulothoracic bursitis and can be treated with therapy, NSAIDS, pain medications, and possibly a steroid injection.
