Colon cancer: She should consult an oncologist and surgeon as soon as safe to do so.  Start with telephone. Whoever diagnosed this for her should be where you start and he/she can refer your aunt for definitive medical and surgical treatments.

Experience: A calcified granuloma is...Calcified! most metastatic nodules are not. Exceptions include mets from osteosarcoma, and mucinous adenocarcinoma of the colon. Granulomas tend not to change over time. Mets tend to grow and are usually multiple.

: Biopsy of the current lung tumour will help to decide whether it is a primary lung tumour or secondary to rectal cancer. Based on the type of the cancer the treatment may vary.

Submax region: Oral low grade adenocarcinomas are relatively rare.  Since the major portion of the oral cavity is squamous cells lining the cavity, squamous Ca is most frequently found.  The adenocarcinomas arising from glandular tissue arise from the minor salivary gland lining the cheeks  and areas like sublingual glands which when harboring malignancies, spread is to the upper cerival or submax region.

: The median survival with untreated brain mets is estimated at months, in a study published in 2002, only about 2% of patients that received whole brain irradiation were still alive after 5 years with the median survival being 3.4 months, this is for treated patients.

"Solitary brain metastasis is in the differential if got known primary--metastasis." This means: of the possible diagnoses based on what is seen on this scan, spread of cancer to one spot in the brain is a possibility. If there is a known source of cancer (such as breast or prostate) then the lesion in the brain has spread from the original cancer.

can a metastasis to the eye grow and eventually reach the brain?

Metastasis: Unfortunately, yes, metastatic disease  just like the primary cancer,  can grow. Although it is possible that the metastatic disease to the eye can grow and eventually go to the adjacent organ - i.e. Brain, however the likelihood that it grows so big that reaches the brain is far less likely compared to  other metastatic lesion that spread to the brain from the primary cancer it self.
