The median survival with untreated brain mets is estimated at months, in a study published in 2002, only about 2% of patients that received whole brain irradiation were still alive after 5 years with the median survival being 3.4 months, this is for treated patients.

We need to know more about your Cancer especially about the type of Cancer and the extent of tumor(number and size of brain tumors). Do you have any other sites of tumors outside of the brain? Brain metastasis can be difficult to eradicate unless it is a single lesion which can be surgically removed or treated with Gamma Knife/Stereotactic Radiotherapy. Your oncologist can also address this quest

The odds are against the person, though, never say never. If it is conceivable, it is possible.
