The major brands are supported by decades of continuing research. Find one baby likes and stick with it.

Yes: The color of the stool reflects how quickly it passes through her digestive tract. Loose is OK unless you are dealing with frequent diarrhea. White stool or blood in the stool are problems. Green and loose are OK.

: Before the cord is clamped, the babies blood is cleansed by the mother and all factors that would trigger jaundice are handled by her mature system.At  birth,this work must be done by babies liver, that had been resting.Levels rise until the liver begins to catch up with the work.About 1/3 have it to some, others have much more.If treated it can be controlled and damage prevented.

Milk changes: Is your baby vomiting or spitting.If she is vomiting i would be concerned about an intestinal obstruction such aspyloric stenosis, especially if she is a month old. Changing formula frequently may mean your child is getting too much milk, or getting it too rapidly. Then again, your baby may be lactose intolerant.

See below: Breast milk has a lot more.  Immunoglobulin a, pro- and prebiotics protects infant from developing infection.  Iron in breast milk is easily absorbed.  Breast-fed infants are less likely die from sids (sudden infant death syndrome) as well.

Do not use: No need to use bovine colostrum product. Bovine colostrum product not advised to be used in human infants.  Infant getting immunity boost from breast milk even if amount is small. Also infant received colostrum via breast milk in first few days of life.

: Please contact your Pediatrician as soon as possible or have your infant evaluated at the nearest Pediatric ER.  Infants under 6 weeks old, are in the so-called Neonatal Period, and may need additional help fighting infections.  If your infant is running a fever or having problems breathing, this is an emergency.

Some basics: The best way to generate more milk supply is to feed more often &amp; more efficiently. Baby gets 80% in the 1st 5min/90% in 10 so feeding 10min/side every 2-3 hrs can push your body to make milk. Formula cuts back the kids need to feed from you. I encourage moms to avoid formula until the milk is well established at 3-4 wks. However, do what you need to do to survive.Baby needs a healthy mom.

Most of the time yes: Infants often normally reflux small amounts of milk after feeding, while burping, with motion or for no reason at all.  They then can be hungry again very soon, and you can go ahead and feed them.  But if the amount is unusually large or frequent, or their urine is dark, see your doctor asap.
