As Seen On TV???: Theoretically, the drug is 99% out of your body after five half lives (in this case 20 hours). The half life of azithromycin is a lot longer (36 hours; that's why you only  take it once a day). you'd have to fiddle with the diltiazem dose or choose another antibiotic. "You" meaning the doctor. Don't do this at home. Dangerous. And for just about anything there is an alternative to azithromycin.

Several days: Azithromycin is very long acting. For this particular antibiotic,  the drug is concentrated in tissues and &quot;half life&quot; (which usually means blood levels) isn&#x27;t helpful. Tissue levels high enough to fight infection last for 7-10 days after a single dose, and smaller amounts might last 2-3 weeks or even longer.

i took 500mg of azithromycin for 3 days, completed course on the 01/02/23 (13days ago as of 14.02.2023). i see the half-life is 68hrs, would it still have effect on qt interval regarding taking other meds that also possibly affect the same?

: I doubt of any significance after 13 days although azithromycin has a long half life. You can safely take another medication which may affect the QT interval and not worrying about the lasting side effect of azithromycin after taking the last dose more than 10 days ago. Take care!

can i take azithromycin tablets with ventolin inhaler and fluticason nose steroid spray and levocetiriz together? because i read on google azithromycin with ventolin can give irregular heartbeat or can life threatening?

: It really depends on how much Ventolin you are taking. If you are taking 2 puffs up to four times daily, you will likely not have an issue with irregular heartbeats with azithromycin. If you are taking more of the inhaler than that or you experience a racing heart, tremors or feel skipped beats when using the Ventolin inhaler, then speak with your doctor before taking the azithromycin. It depends...: ...on what you are being treated for. Different infections respond to different doses of azithromycin. Check with the clinic or doctor who prescribed it.

Not recommended: If you have ba cold Azithromycin is not indicated. Azithromycin does not work for viruses which a  cold is.

7-10 days: Azithromycin is very long acting. It will take 7-10 days to be entirely gone. But it's difficult to imagine what infection you were treating with this dose. Chlamydia is the only condition normally treated with single dose azithromycin, but the dose is 1 gram, twice what you took. If you are being treated for chlamydia, more treatment is needed.
