Bone contusions: Bone contusions can take many months to fully resolve of symptoms.  Bone fractures ordinarily take 6 weeks to heal.

Other conditions to evaluate are LYMPHEDEMA/RSD(REFLEX SYMPATHETIC DYSTROPHY). /AVN( AVASCULAR necrosis )Also a full clotting W/U. You need  a prompt exam and through W/U.

Dependsthe severity: For talus fractures surgery is indicated if the fracture position is unstable or is affecting the subtalar joint.  The result of the mri is important to evaluate the tendons around the fracture, if there is damage that can not be seen on plain X-ray and determine an AVN.  The talus is one of a kind bone because it lacks of direct vascularity, so a precise diagnosis will avoid complications

Avulsion fractures: All avulsion fractures, regardless of their location, have a similar appearance on xray.  You will find a fragment of bone broken off and separated from the remainder.  The difference is that the break takes place at the insertion of a tendon and is the result of a pull from that muscle.

You may have : Pain, swelling etc or you might be perfectly okay....everyone is different. The size of the fracture may matter and he etiology might Matter. Ideally, it should not be walked on.

Not healed: That it hurts after weight bearing means that you cannot "tolerate" it. So u are not ready to  most fractures take 6-8 weeks to become asymptomatic. Wearing a brace usually  helps avoid re twisting the ankle and putting too much stress on the healing avulsion fracture. There may also be more than a simple avulsion and further x-rays (plain, ct scan or mri) might be necessary. Some need surgery.
