Treatment: 5-7 days nwb, elevation followed by progressive weight bearing and functional rehab, using simple cam boot. For 3 weeks.

You may need a longer period of immobilization either in a boot or, more strictly, in a short leg cast if these symptoms are still bothering you, especially with weight bearing. Alternatively, if the pain is gradually getting better then some formal physical therapy may help your rehab.

Sounds like you may have a Lisfranc injury that may have not been evident on first exam. if the MD sees bridging callus, that is a sign there is motion a the fracture site. Cuboid: There is a small bone called the os peroneum  located adjacent and slightly under the cuboid bone. It is normally positioned inside the peroneus longus muscle tendon. A partial tendon rupture there can cause the os peroneum to fracture since they function together. The cuboid bone can fracture and the avulsion fracture is caused by a ligament. Have the ortho doc check for cuboid pain syndrome.
