You : You are not that old! wisdom teeth are sometimes extracted on much older adults.

Recovery time not only varies from patient to patient, but from tooth to tooth. Just because the tooth is partially erupted doesn't mean the roots aren't hooked, or that it won't be a difficult extraction. Many things can happen; teeth sometimes break, resulting in a more invasive procedure.

You will be sore for a few days, you might get some swelling, and you may feel like you have a sore throat and difficulty swallowing. These symptoms are all normal.

Your dentist/oral surgeon will prescribe the proper pain meds and advise you on post operative procedures in regards to minimizing discomfort.

The recovery time can be affected by many variables- upper teeth or lower, impacted/partial impaction/fully erupted, infected or not, root tip or broken tooth, difficulty of removal, density of the bone, your overall immunity.  Normally a week to 10 days is a good rule of thumb, but everyone is different and every extraction is different.

Depends: Everyone has differing rates of recovery.  Generally, the first 2-3 days are intense and then it improves from there. If the pain persists, you may have a condition called dry socket...See the oral surg/dentist immediatelt as this can lead to bone necrosis.
The "holes" left behind from the extractions can take 2-3 weeks to heal over, usually during this time, they're not painful, just annoying.
