No difference: Assuming hip replacement is indicated based on clinical exam and xrays, you will likely have a good result regardless of the use of prp.  Prp might not help but probably won't hurt.

Autologous: Autologous means derived from your own body rather than from another person/donor.  Often used to mean using your own red blood cells for transfusions after elective surgery or using your own stem cells for a stem cell transplant.

Self transfusion: In certain preoperative situations where it is expected that there could be a significant amount of blood loss and the blood type not that common, the patient is asked to be his own donor.  This is not used where there is an acute situation but rather for an elective procedure.  Here in one or two instances the patient donates blood to be stored for his own procedure while count returns to normal.

Not necessarily: Maintenance chemotherapy is recommended to keep the tumor cells from coming back. Tumors cells are usually not eliminated by the treatment your cousin had, but may be kept in check by the treatment being prescribed.

Relapse: Or disease being active again. Make sure the goals of therapy as to palliative/ curative are clear and getting involved a palliative care physician at this point and if available, specifically with disease being in late stages.

Yes: Unfortunatelly, chances of cancer relapse are extremelly high; and Mulitple Mylema does share this kinf of lets say personality; but good news its that they took the disease before it spread thru important organs sucha as liver or brain; so if this is the case it can be 100% cured; as long as it doesn´t get to liver or brain; the thing its that is very important specifically to stop the spread

Since then many improvements were made to result in the modern system of today, including autologous methods.

The pancreas is an exocrine (digestive juice) and endocrine gland from the Islets of Langerhans.  When all are removed, islet transplant helps retain endocrine activity including insulin production.

Total pancreas out: Most of the islet cells that produce glucagon and insulin are in the body and distal  pancreas so that to have them removed requires a total pancreatectomy.  Autologous transplants are being performed at the present time by Dr.Horatio Rilo but if not perfomed. hormone replacement required as wll as pancratin for digestion.
