Age ?/puberty ?: The arm span grows faster in most males than height starting at puberty &amp; continuing until maturity. The tallest kids (during puberty &amp; as adults) will have a longer wingspan than height. The short kids/adults will have an arm span will not exceed their height.

could i hav marfans? recently got diagnosed w/ mild mvp. postive marfans wrist test but not thumb test. female, not tall (5 ft 2), arm span not longer than height, skinny, long fingers,  score 3 in ghent criteria. no protuding chests nor myopic. help

Wouldn't think so: If I remember correctly as many as 10% of the female population can show a mild degree of mitral valve prolapse by their teen years and beyond. That makes it relatively common where Marfan's is rare. Your observations make it unlikely you could fit the diagnosis. Discuss it with your doc the next time you go in.

would pagets make long bones grow longer? would it cause a 40 yearold adult to grow several inches taller in height? no bowed limbs or spine curvature

No: No, the growth plates in a 40 year old have been closed have been closed for many years and so pagers or really any condition can not really cause the growth of a person several inches at that age.  Hat size can get bigger as the skull can enlarge, but no significant vertical growth.

Not necessarily: Arm length is usually proportional to height but not foot size.

i turned 17 today and im still 3 inches shorter than my dad. im 56 hes 59 and my mom is 55. could i reach my dads height? i have long arms and a size9 in shoes. i havent grown much since last year. i look younger for my age as well. plz reply?

: Your potential for any more growth depends on whether growth centers in your long bones are open or not. An x-ray of your wrist/hand can reveal this. Everything else is just speculation. If you truly have not grown much in the past year=less than an inch, you are most likely near the end of growth. 2.5 inches or more=maybe some more.

Why the ?: Why do you care? There are individual variances and no two people are alike. If you feel that you have an issue with your appearance, speak to your family physician and\or a psychologist.

You can't make your: Fingers grow longer. It requires weight loss to have thinner arms. Here are some toning exercises for your arms. Tone arms w standing biceps curl w dumbbells, hammer curls w dumbbells, triceps kickback w dumbbells ; lying triceps extension w dumbbells.

Genetics: You are a victim (or benefactor) of your genes...Somewhere back in your heritage it was evolutionarily advantageous to have shorter arms, and it was passed along to you.  
I am assuming that your arms are "short"
but not to the point of debilitation. 
Learn to accept yourself for who you are and appreciate your unique characteristics.  If self esteem is an issue, perhaps some therapy would help.

i have a question about my height. i am 15, 510 and i have a 67 wingspan. i look super uncoordinated when i run and in general just look weird. my arms have grown about 3 inches from the past 2 months and i dont know if i will get taller or not?

: Your questions can be answered by being examined by an endocrinologist. You are still in the developing stage of growth.

does hyperlordosis lead to lower measured height? i have hyperlordosis as confirmed by my physiotherapist. i can fit both my forearms including my arms under my back when standing straight against a wall or lying down?

: It depends on one's perspective. A college-aged guy who had been growing taller over the past 10 years and maybe stopped when his bones matured, will have been getting taller even while having notable lordosis. In that sense, height increased while there was lordosis. However, if a person has reached maximum height but lordosis worsens after that, any height changes are probably not much at all.
