It's not new: Suicide has always been a huge problem. This is actually not a "high" point. In the usa, we are down from the 1950 - 80 rate of 13.2 per 100k to 11 per 100k. Not A Good Idea: For your relationship with your therapist to be helpful, there needs to be a level of trust so that your therapist can understand you and your situation as completely as possible. Also, your therapist is there to help you live in the healthiest way possible. For your own health, and for the therapist to be able to help you, it is important to be open and honest.

Emergency ER visit: You must go to an Emergency Room immediately if you are seriously considering suicide. Call 911 if necessary. Your chest pain could be associated with the anxiety/depression or to a cardiac or some other medical problem so you need a complete medical exam. After the risk for suicide is gone I suggest a healthy lifestyle, good nutrition &amp; supportive counseling to deal with the mental health issues.
