Need Medical checkup: Moles coma in many forms. Most of them are benign. But if a mole is changing its colors and starting to grow, it may need to have abiopsy which is best done by your family doctor or by a dermatologist who will first examine your mole to check if it appears to be benign or suspected melanoma. A biopsy is the final answer to  determine if it is cancerous or not.

i rubbed off a dark raised mole a few months ago. now the mole is growing back. does this mean that the mole could be cancerous? should i have it checked out?

Usually benign: Skin cancer as a rule increases in size, changes color with time, has irregular border, assymetrical feature.
Google on line for images of skin cancer.

i scraped a mole that was raised  off at home about a year ago and it bled and healed . it hasn't grown back.just a dark spot is left now. how do i know if it was cancerous or not? if it was cancerous could it have spread without me not knowing ?

: More details are needed. This needs to be seen. See a dermatologist.  There are some skin conditions that spread, some do not.

ABCDEs of Melanoma: The abcdes of melanoma are:a=asymmetry(one half unlike the other half), b=border (irregular, scalloped, poorly defined border), c=color (varied from one are to another), d=diameter (while melanomas are usually greater than 6mm they can be smaller when diagnosed), e=evolving(change in size, shape, color).Hope this helped :].

i have a mole that is a raised circular bump that is mostly transparent but has asymmetrical brown coloring on top. what are the chances for cancer?

Pretty low but...: Irregular moles should be checked asap.  Especially if they have increased in size quickly or bleed easily.  If an md feels it is benign and it continues to behave benign it can be watched.  However, the only way to get a definite answer is with a biopsy.

i have only a few raise moles but just this week i noticed one on my lower back thats raised and feels like a pimple and hurts could it be cancerous?

Uncertain: Please have this checked by a doctor.  This type of thing needs to be examined to be sure.  At your age, skin cancer is not likely, but not unheard of.    Better to be safe and get that checked out.

No: Lot of data about honey as a therapeutic agent. However, that would not be for a raised mole as you are describing. If it is something that bothers you simplest would be to have it excised surgically and then it also has the added benefit of being looked at pathologically. Alternatively, it can be frozen off with several new treatments. Best to see a dermatologist or plastic surgeon for this.

Show it to your doct: It will be hard to guess the cause of your skin lesion unless you can show it to your doctor.Melanoma is a skin cancer that often presents as a black  and changing black mole or it is flesh colored, not white.But go show it to you pcp or a skin specialist(dermatologist and get help soon.).
