Rice: Rest, ice, compression are the primary treatments for acute patellar tendinitis.  If it is sport related, wearing a patellar tendon brace may make it less likely it will recur.

Suggest to your dr to consider giving u muscle relaxers and/or opioids usual causes of back pain are muscle strain &ddd/degenerative disc disease/ arthritis of the spine.Though the name sounds dreadful, fear not! people don't die from it. Continue with what u r doing.Maintain good posture, massage and physical therapy may help if it worsens, x-ray and/or MRI of the spine may b warranted.

Yes with rest: Tendinitis can sometimes heal on it’s own with rest, exercises and time.  If it does not I would go see a doctor

Voltaren (diclofenac) Gel: This is very effective with scientific data to back it up.  It is pricey without insurance. Compounding pharmacies can make many non-steroidal gels and creams, such as Ketoprofen at a more reasonable cost.

Ying and Yang.: Judging from the time of your posting, it has been about 24 hours since something happened to cause you tendonitis. Some times applying ice for that length of time can contribute to the pain. Try alternating to moist heat and see is relief is at hand.(get it ?) (at hand).

Not very well: Corticosteroids in cream form don't penetrat the skin, but r good 4 itching ; rashes. Oral nsaids, aleve (naproxen) or Ibuprofen work well. Determine how u developed it ; try 2 avoid the activity. If very bothersome c a hand surgeon ; a locally injected steroid is very helpful. Some forms of tendinitis r resistant 2 even this ;@ times need surgical release of the tendon sheath.

i use top. cream for tendinitis and 8 weeks pregnant. i found out it contains camphor which can cause me to miscarry/harm my baby. what is the safest alternative for me now through breastfeeding. i have wrist tendinitis, worry about holding my baby ?

Doubt any affect: Over the counter creams and lotions don't penetrate the skin deep enough to have any of their component chemicals enter the blood. To affect the fetus it must be in the blood. Things you eat,drink or inhale can enter the blood which is where there is risk. I would stop worrying about past exposure. If anything else works as well you can surely change, but I'm not convinces you need to.

Yes quite a few : Ibuprofen (sold in the us as motrin, advil) and Naproxen (sold as aleve) are both anti-inflammatories lasting eight and twelve hours respectively. They are often referred to as nsaids or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.   In addition, old fashioned Aspirin works the same way. Acetaminophen (or paracetamol), sold as tylenol (acetaminophen) is not an NSAID and works differently.  Does nothing for inflammation.

Many: Traditional medicine will use nsaids to help decrease inflammation as well as ice after activity.  Other natural things to incorporate are high doses of omega 3 _4-6 grams/day, curcumin or adding tumeric to your food daily 1/2 tsp, glucosamine chondroitan, msm, acupuncture, reiki can help as well.
