Antabuse (disulfiram): Drinking damages liver way more than Antabuse (disulfiram) does. Antabuse (disulfiram) is fairly low risk as far as liver damage. I would not compromise on drinking while on Antabuse (disulfiram) due to severe interaction side effects Antabuse (disulfiram) and drinking have. It looks, though, that it really doesn't work in your case if you're planning to drink while taking it. I would seek another way of quitting drinking.

Try something else: Because of the nature of alcohol addiction, and the fact that Antabuse (disulfiram) does nothing to reduce cravings for alcohol, most people will relapse on Antabuse (disulfiram) then become very sick or even die. 
Instead take a medication that actually reduces cravings and will not make you sick if you relapse. If you do relapse, clinical data suggests you will drink less. Look into taking topiramax or naltrexone.

It's not: It's not contraindicated in hypertension. It is contraindicated in cases of renal impairment and severe heart/aortic diseases. These conditions may be caused or co-exist with hypertension, but a well controlled hypertension or that w/out kidney/heart disease is not a contraindication in and of itself.
