i am 18yrs  and i'm not satisfied with my height.please suggest some advice to gain height.i'm dying to grow taller and patient enough for the result.

Growth very unlikely: An 18 yr old is not growing taller if her growth plates have fused. If not fused, she will grow a little bit (pediatrician's growth chart for her can tell if growth has stopped). To look taller, one can choose properly designed clothing &amp; shoes, and have good posture. Vitamins, supplements, "special" foods, exercise, etc... will not make a person living in the U.S. taller (height here is genetic).

Eat more: The most sure fire way to gain weight is to eat more. What i would recommend is exercising with increase in a healthy diet to build muscle to gain weight.

Get to the gym and do resistance and aerobic work joyfully and as much as you can. You'll get a fantastic body regardless of your height.

After that happens, you can not grow taller.  If your growth centers are open (xray), a balanced diet/rest ; healthy physical activity would support good growth.There are no special diets, meds or exercises that make you taller.

: Expected final height in girls is the average of both parents less 5 cm, +/- an inch. Girls usually stop growing 3 yrs after 1st menses. An x-ray of the wrist/hand can show open or closed growth centers. If closed, no further height. Good health/ nutrition/sleep/exercise maximizes growth. If growth centers are closed, no meds/exercise/diet will add height.

No but...: Once the growth plates in your bones have fused you can not increase your maximal adult height. However, if you have shrunk any it is due to poor posture and/or compressed discs in your spine. Yoga, tai chi or pilates will help stretch the spine an may lead to increased height.
