i have hepatitis c and i noticed on my last blood test my alt was 80 but ast was 41 anything to worry about dr said no?

Need more info...: Factors such as additional testing for HCV viral load, other causes of elevated ALT, liver imaging and nature of the high ALT (rate of increase/ stability of the lab value) and clinical context are important to know. Though an elevated ALT can suggest HCV infection, it is difficult for any doc -  other than the doc you saw, to know the significance of the elevated ALT at this point.

i'm diagnosed with hepatitis c, pt 14, inr 1.3, ggt 67, ast 35 and alt 33. other are normal. abdomen ultrasound shows liver 140mm and everything is normal except 4 stones in gallbladder? is it curable? how much time it takes?

Curable: Hep C is curable but you need to talk to your doctor and if needed see a liver specialist for effective medication for Hep C.
Do not take Tyelnol/acetaminophen and alcohol.

my ast level was 54 and my alt is 21. i was negative for hepatitis c and antibodies. i dont drink alcohol or take meds. im not obese bmi is 22, and im vegetarian, intermittently fast. what could cause this? abdomen is flat?

: Given normal level of ALT, mildly elevated AST is unlikely from liver pathology.  AST can be elevated in association of pathology in skeletal muscle, kidney, myocardium, or red blood cells.

Hep C: Liver funtion tests may go up and down, what is really necessary to know is how high is the hep c viral load, or does the liver has sign of cirrhosis, is the hep c  one of the genotypes that can be easly treated ? Some people who are infected with hep c get rid of the virus spontaneously therefore will have an undetected viral load and normal lft also. Ask doctor to check viral load.

how long does it take for cirrhosis to happen drinking with high alt & ast? no hep c, 27yo male,  drinking 7 years,  all other numbers normal

Can happen quickly: Even at your young age, extensive alcohol consumption can sicken the liver to the point of cirrhosis even in a very short span of time (like 7 years).  Moderation and potentially complete abstinence may be your only hope to prevent this serious condition.  Good luck.

These : These lab results are consistent with your condition, and indicate an advanced disease process. You need to be followed closely by your doctor. If you have abdominal pain, yellowing of the skin, vomiting blood, etc. Present to the er at once. Otherwise continue to follow up with your doctor and avoid alcohol, fatty foods, and foods with high salt content. Also avoid tylenol (acetaminophen) and advil.

It is important: to evaluate increases in transaminases that become elevated in pregnancy. Liver disease can develop and progress when a woman is pregnant.Your values are not extraordinarily concerning, but they should be followed up with retesting within a week or two. If there is a problem, it is more likely to be related to your health than your baby's. Make sure you/your doctor stay on top of this. Good wishes

alt 57 for 2 yrs. ast 33, gamma gt 47, bilirubin 0.5. anti hcv & hbsag negative, no fatty liver. i have ps arthritis. why  alt is elevated for 2 yrs?

Liver disease.: There are a few other potential causes which may be pursued with simple lab testing (wilsons disease, alpha 1 antitrypsin deficiency, autoimmune hepatitis, etc), but if this all turns out negative (as I expect it might) then you will need to consider biopsy.  If your numbers have been stable I am not sure this would be particularly useful for you.

Non detectible: Viral load non detectible is good.
Anything else, not good. Reguardless of ast/alt.
