i swallowed weed smoke into my stomach and ive been having symptoms of gerd,gastritis,acid reflux,for 3 months those all pretty much have the same symptoms but i havent had the symptoms really bad,if i were to get it cured will i be able to smoke?

Marijuana: Years ago, I remember seeing men in the hospital with lung cancer, pulling their chemotherapy on IV poles, and pulling their oxygen tanks with the other hand.   One might think that lighting up a cigarette near an oxygen tank was not a good idea, nor cigarette smoking while under treatment for lung cancer.   You need not "get it cured" but most doctors would not recommend you smoke.

Lots of bad stuff: Untreated gastritis/GERD can result in Esophagitis, peptic stricture, Barrett's esophagus (a pre cancerous condition), and even asthma, laryngeal stricture, and laryngeal cancer.

Yes: The inflammation from gastritis- with acid production can lower the pressure in the valve between the stomach and the esophagus and make it easier to reflux. Acid lowering medicines might be helpful as would smaller meals. Meals with less fat and caffeine can decrease the present production of acid. Try to find out the cause of the gastritis as well.

R/O  GERD: GERD SX can be vague NAUEA/BLOATING /HEART BURN. Or Severe PAIN//REFLUX/LARYNGITS/COUGH You need a history and physical. Labs including Hpylori Ab Ig G and M. Stool for hpylori  x 3. I usually start with Zantac (ranitidine) 300mg. If symptoms have been longer than 8-10 weeks an endoscopy is warranted, while work up is in progress , stick to small frequent meals and gluten free diet.

my 8 month old son has severe reflux and gastritis and refuses and vomits all feeds, even one ounce. he was doing 4 oz earlier but now is struggling even for 1oz. whatshould i do?

Reflux Precautions: General reflux precautions include feeding in upright position/keeping up 30 min after feeds, elevate head of crib, thicken formula, and limit acidic foods (tomato/citrus based).  No lying down w/ bottle and limit large meals/bottles 2 hr before lying down. Medical therapy can include h2 blockers (zantac, pepcid) and ppi's like prevacid (lansoprazole). If not gaining weight well, see pediatrician asap.

First-: an ultrasound of the abdomen and liver/gallbladder to rule out disease/stones or obstruction.
Next daily use use of a PPI ( proton pump inhibitor ) such as Nexium or Prilosec in addition to a low fat diet, fiber and daily exercise. Get tested for bacterial gastritis by testing for H. pylori. I suggest liver and pancreatic 
 blood studies and avoid ALL alcohol, NSAIDS, aspirin and citrus fruits.
