Yes: The inflammation from gastritis- with acid production can lower the pressure in the valve between the stomach and the esophagus and make it easier to reflux. Acid lowering medicines might be helpful as would smaller meals. Meals with less fat and caffeine can decrease the present production of acid. Try to find out the cause of the gastritis as well.
