A member asked:

How is bile reflux treated that is causing gastritis in the stomach?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

First-: an ultrasound of the abdomen and liver/gallbladder to rule out disease/stones or obstruction. Next daily use use of a PPI ( proton pump inhibitor ) such as Nexium or Prilosec in addition to a low fat diet, fiber and daily exercise. Get tested for bacterial gastritis by testing for H. pylori. I suggest liver and pancreatic blood studies and avoid ALL alcohol, NSAIDS, aspirin and citrus fruits.
