is it safe to mix alcohol with percocets?

No: You could die. You could fall asleep and stop breathing. You could pass out and vomit and inhale the contents of your stomach into your lungs, called aspiration pneumonia. If you are someone who likes to become intoxicated, i would strongly caution against taking opiates, as you are at high risk for developing an addiction problem.

my sister took one percocet about 8 hours ago. she is now drinking vodka and orange juice. is it safe for her to drink alcohol after taking percocet?

: It is never a good combination. The narcotic and the alcohol will have an additive effect and so she will be drunk quicker. So best to stop the drinking.

is it ok to consume alcohol 24 hours after a percocet dosage?

Accepted Answer

Yes: Alcohol can be additive to the sedation and respiratory depressant effects of percocet. Therefore the warning not to take these two together. After 24 hours there should be no significant danger.

No: Alcohol is a poison and it never did any body any good. Stay from it.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex.

hi there, i was just wondering if there are any serious side effects of taking only a few percocets while on pristiq 50mg, and also how dangerous drinking alcohol really is on this anxiety medication. (i am not taking perc's while drinking alcohol though)

Suspicious: Not enough info.  How many is "a few?"  Should you be drinking alcohol which is a CNS depressant while taking an anti-depressant, Pristiq (desvenlafaxine)?  Why are you taking an opioid  which is also a CNS depressant?  How close if not together re perc's and alcohol?  Not enough info!

Pain resolution: If your pain problem is receding somewhat, you would expect to find that you are feeling more fatigue than usual.  Taking narcotics for chronic pain can be effective but is also problematic in many instances.  The best strategy for you as an individual would be to slowly wean yourself off of the narcotic completely except flares.  Also routinely take only enough to keep pain to manageable level.

Migraine hedache: Migraine headache are best treated with medications OTHER than narcotics.  Often, stopping the narcotic will cause the headache to recur.  It is important to figure out triggers for migraines as they can help you reduce the frequency of symptoms.  Triggers include too much / little sleep, specific foods such as aged cheeses, red wine, caffeine, bright lights, chemical sensitivity, menstrual cycle

i took 2 percocet over weekend 1 on saturday then 1on sunday i don't really take them have drug test tomorrow will it be out my system tomorrow?

Drug interaction: Use medications as prescribed by your doctor. There are no significant interactions between percocet and diclofenac

Pain medications: In general, it is not good to mix pain medications.  The major question is can other medications including oral and topical help with your pain control.  I would have a detailed discussion which her pain doctor to help develop other treatment options.
