Serious Rx: If you have not been offered a trial of isotretinoin, please get with your physician now and ask about this. It is not for the faint-hearted and there are risks, but most people who have needed it are glad. You also want an endocrine evaluation, and you may consider the oral contraceptive pill if it is right for you. Laser isn&#x27;t a magic answer.

No difference...: Both technologies use a microspot co2 laser which treats approximately 30% of the surface skin of the face with one treatment. The treatment recommended would depend on your scars and skin type. Ice-pick scars respond best to punch excision and later resurfacing. Deeply irregular textured scars sometimes respond best to dermabrasion. Find a surgeon skilled in all techniques for best results!

Diagnosis?: I'm going to ask the dermatologists online to review this question, but I am wondering about something. Since both amyopathic dermatomyositis and acne rosacea produce a butterfly rash on the face, is it possible that you have only one of the two, and the other might be an overcall? Professional help: I am sorry you tried worthless cures, and if someone charged you money for "blue light" therapy, I would urge you to contact your local prosecuting attorney. Pills and creams won't touch these. You'll need to get with a specialist dermatologist or plastic surgeon for a filler, microsurgery, or laser work. Especially, if you see a kid whose acne is being neglected, say something. Best wishes.

Yes, : Yes, that should be fine as long as the break outs aren't too bad.  Ask your dermatologist for their thoughts.  I typically do try to get the acne reasonably controlled prior to any laser treatment.  Also, you shouldn't have any facial procedures performed if you have taken Accutane within the last 6 months.  The laser treatment will probably take a few treatments but can often improve (not make perfect) the texture and scarring from previous acne.

Other option for acne laser treatment can be ipl, vbeam, and/or smooth beam. With these lasers, you can have less side effects but it requires multiple sessions.
