Muscle strain?: Did you do some sort of vigorous activity before this started?  You don't mention your gender; if female, the ovary or uterus can be involved.  If male, you don't have those parts!!  Groin pain usually comes from pulled or strained muscles, sometimes from a hernia (pushing of insides through muscles), which may show up as a lump in the groin when standing, coughing, straining. Clinical exam: Hernias are often diagnosed on clinical exam.  Imaging with ultrasound and even ct can help in hard to determine cases.

Assuming this is long-term &amp; not related to infection, it might be the case that her pelvic girdle harbors loose joints related to Hypermobility Syndrome &amp;/or injury,  &amp; a loose sacroiliac joint; ligaments of which are stressed/pained as bony pelvic girdle ring is torqued by ground forces of sleep surface. See an Osteopath.

More info needed: Diff. to answer w/out more info.Is it associated w/urinary symptoms?Bowel?How long have you had it?Is it chronic?Were you doing anything at the time you developed the pain?Could be a torn tendon, inflammation of skin or nerve, scar tissue tearing (ex. if you had Pelvic inflammatory disease in the past, etc.A visit to the doctor and a good exam is definitely in order.

ia bloatedted stomach for several days.  now i woke up last night with intermittent pains right above my pubic bone and more on the left side low.

Just a thought: but the "pattern" of your pain may just reflect bowel GAS moving from your upper gi (stomach) to the lower (sigmoid colon) If I am right you will begin to pass gas through your rectum ......
You may be EATING TOO FAST (swallowing air!!!)
Eat slower..chew your food ...
