Muscle strain?: Did you do some sort of vigorous activity before this started? You don't mention your gender; if female, the ovary or uterus can be involved. If male, you don't have those parts!! Groin pain usually comes from pulled or strained muscles, sometimes from a hernia (pushing of insides through muscles), which may show up as a lump in the groin when standing, coughing, straining.
