can i treat abpa with aromatic oil inhalation?

No data: Abpa is a very serious inflammatory disease of the lung caused by a mold. The treatment traditionally involves inhaled steroids, oral steroids. Recent data suggests that use of anti fungal agents could be beneficial. There may be a role for xolair as well. Aromatic oil inhalation is not a standard treatment for abpa.

i have abpa, currently feel fine, most recent ige was 1013. is there a point when i must take prednisone to reduce the ige?

Depends on last IgE: A sharply increased ige, infiltrates on chest x-ray and worsening asthma symptoms can indicate a flare of abpa.  To know if the current ige is relevant to a flare of abpa that will require prednisone, it would be necessary to know the last total ige level.   Even with minimal symptoms, it may be useful to have spirometry to assess current lung function.

Imaging: CBC to look for eosinophils, ige level, sputum culture.  Technically it is an allergic reaction to the fungal organisms in the airways (colonization), not an invasive infection.

i m abpa patient .today i hv normal routine light cough then i see a blood clot with sputum.then three times i cough and again see blood with sputum ?

Could be infection.: Abpa is usually treate dwith steroids. When on long period of time the steroids may lower resistence to immune system.  I would inform your primary lung doc and ask for  appointment.  Not sure of your disease progression and work up so far. May need cxr or cat scan as well. Some pt require a bronchoscopy as well.
A pulmonay embolism is always a possibility as well. Need follow up with your doc.

: I do not know what abpa means. Never use abbreviations.  They can be deadly in medicine. But suspect you need a proper pulmonary function test.

Tough case: This is more than we can handle here at healthtap. Allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis is best treated by treating the underlying asthma, but if mycobacteria have grown and  there is the possibility that they represent a superinfection, continuing the Prednisone may be a problem. You need a good pulmonary infectious disease subspecialist. Wishing you good luck.

: You don't mention what treatments have been administered. Mucolytics like guaifnesin, bronchodilator or corticosteroid inhalers,antibiotics? I recommend consulting a pulmonologist or an allergist with a special interest in treatment of asthmatics.

Uncommon: Pulmonary aspergillosis is an uncommon infection in the immuno competent population, but is much more prevalent in patients whose general or local (pulmonary) immunity is compromised (hiv +, patients receiving chemotherapy, multiple disease conditions including COPD etc.).

Depends: The term pulmonary aspergillosis may refer to actual infection of the lung by aspergillus which usually occurs in patients with depressed immune system. The term can also be an "allergy" to aspergillus which is more common in patient with asthma and cystic fibrosis. A fungus ball of aspergillus is a complication of an old cavity in the lung growing a fungal ball.

Not necessarily kids: Allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis (abpa) is a hypersensitivity reaction to a. Fumigatus colonization of the tracheobronchial tree and occurs in conjunction with asthma and cystic fibrosis (cf).  0.25-0.8% of people with asthma and approximately 7% of patients with CF are estimated to have abpa (this includeds kids and adults).
