Autoimmune: tests have to be interpreted within context and vary widely depending on the ratio of antibody titers. A positive or negative ANA does not necessarily mean you do or don`t have lupus. Other autoimmune phenomenon besides SLE can present in similar ways.

Q: my serum folate (folic acid) is abnormal is this why im suffering exhaustion and faitness with dizzyiness and memory loss?

MD: Non specific symptoms could be due to many things. You need a complete medical workup. If you have seen a doc, without getting answers, see an other doc - internist preferably.

Q: total protein 8.3, serum albumin 4.2 , serum globulin 3.8, albumin globulin ratio 1.2.. is this abnormal?

Abnormal labs: It would be helpful that for the labs mentioned above. If you. Can find the normal range or reference range and list it than our answer can be more educated and helpful. The reference range does vary from one lab to another.

Yes: Though this is more likely with an acute flare in someone with chronic pancreatitis.  Much of the pancreas may already be damaged/scarred/fibrosed in patients with chronic pancreatitis, so an acute injury may not cause much increase in serum amylase.

Ask ordering Dr: Every laboratory has a range of normal for each test. When a test result is outside the “normal” range it is not always a problem, but if you are taking vitamin A supplements you probably need to speak to your Dr about how to decrease the amount. Too much vitamin A can be a problem just as too little can be.  
   I honestly have NEVER ordered a vitamin A level in 30 plus years of practice -ask Dr

Maybe nothing: The level at less than 2X upper normal might be associated with a condition called celiac disease (gluten intolerance) or an autoimmune process like rheumatoid arthritis. It also may be a transient benign finding. There are some worrisome conditions where is is 5-10X normal, but we see more people with really low levels that have problems with recurrent infections.Discuss with your doc.

: You have posted numbers  that show the value is in the normal range. It is certainly not high.  There is no reason for concern. If you have concerns discuss it with your doc.

A few things...: "abnormal" on a blood test usually means the result is higher or lower than what is found in 95% of the normal people in the community. For vitamin a, one can ask his doctor why the test was done (it is not a routine test that everyone gets). A very high result means a patient is eating too much vitamin a (from foods or supplements), and low means he is not eating or absorbing enough vitamin a.

: You have unfounded belief. If your blood is thin as water which implies you are severely anemic then you don't have any strength to post this question. You're correct about the composition of blood, 40-45% is made my blood cells and 55 -60% is plasma. That 40-45% portion is made up mainly by red blood cells and when that number drops in half, only 20%, your blood will be seemingly watery.
