A member asked:

Is a vitamin a serum level of 78.2 abnormal. whats it mean? its showing high on the labcorp app?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Ask ordering Dr: Every laboratory has a range of normal for each test. When a test result is outside the “normal” range it is not always a problem, but if you are taking vitamin A supplements you probably need to speak to your Dr about how to decrease the amount. Too much vitamin A can be a problem just as too little can be. I honestly have NEVER ordered a vitamin A level in 30 plus years of practice -ask Dr
