Not the best choice.: It can detect advanced stage cancer but it is not ideal. A colonoscopy would be a much better choice.

Discuss with doc: These dyes have had enormous clinical use and rarely cause any problems.  The only risk is ultra rare sensitivity which usually occurs in those who have had exposure to these in the past.  Discuss with your doctor who will be administering these to you to put you at ease.  You might need some pre-test anti-anxiety medication.

It could: There are many ways to diagnosis cancer.  In reference to the ovary the simplest, safest, and easiest test is a pelvic ultrasound.  If the ovary is abnormal it can be followed with serial ultrasounds or an MRI could be perfermormed.  That would be the best imaging test.  That being said ovarian cancers can be diagnosed with ct but usually it's because the ct was done for some other reason.

Not always: While it is possible to detect larger abnormalities on a CT scan, an endoscopy is a better tool for this.

No : A single CT scan would not be enough to cause cancer through radiation and enough radiation can produce cancer changes regardless of diet.

It can: If the cancer is advanced or particularly invasive it will show on a CT.  Better diagnostic tool for this might be an upper endoscopy instead.

It may: Size, location, and associated cystic component and / or distortion may all show.
Contrast may show some smaller, less distinct features.

Potentially: If the nausea was from obstruction, then yes.  If from some other causes, no.  I would discuss with your oncologist.
