have left side abdominal and back pain for 6 weeks.   pain is below the sternum and deep inside abdomen more towards the back.  been having nausea and loss off appetite.  omeperazole helps the nausea but still have back pain.  cbc and lft normal?

Abdominal pain: Left upper abdominal pain can be associated with various conditions.   Lower lung problems such as mass or infiltrate possible. Left upper abdomen contains the spleen, colon and especially your kidney.

been having abdominal bloating and very mild pain in my upper middle abdomen area. gets worse after a meal. im a 26 y/o male. have no weight loss, excessive gas, or frequent benching. have acid reflux and history of constipation. is this serious?

Upper abdominal pain: Upper midline abdominal discomfort worsened by eating could be caused by gastritis,gastric ulcer,or pancreatic  pathology.  Duodenal peptic ulcer discomfort is usually relieved by food. Esophageal inflammation causes chest discomfort.. If symptoms persist, I recommend consulting a gastroenterologist for evaluation. A gastroscopy may be advised. In the meantime avoid spicy&amp;greasy foods &amp;Try pepcid.

Primary Doctor or ER: Abdominal discomfort can be from many things. For pain there, appendicitis is a concern (pain usually worsens over time, with fever coming on). If one is constipated for several days, stool can back up on the left and then the right side, and cause pain. Gallstones, kidney stones, gastroenteritis, or ovarian problems can also cause pain. One's primary care doctor or the ER doctor can evaluate.

Complex: Too difficult to answer quickly and treatment should be personalized. Many people do better with probiotics and dietary changes (such as following a fodmaps diet). You should establish care with a gastroenterologist.

Maybe: If the intestines are markedly distended, I would expect you to have symptoms like abdominal distension, abdominal discomfort, nausea or difficulty having bowel movements. Trauma can paralyze or semiparalyze intestinal motility. Mild intestinal gas accumulation may  not require any medical treatment, but have a physician evaluate you if you still have concerns or any abdominal discomfort.

Was bowel clean: Before x-ray? Probably feces-after evacuation it will probably be gone- not to worry!

: You may take a fiber laxative like Metamucil and drink enough water daily so that your urine is colorless. For the long term you may try to increase your intake of fiber foods. Consult this site for fiber foods.
