: It is not feasible to accurately comment on your described films in absence of the actual images, and correlation is virtually impossible without clinical description. my 80 yr old mom was diagnosed with a benign suprasellar meningioma 7 years ago. its now golf ball size, she has blurred vision, memory loss, muscle weakness and she suffered a lacunar stroke. can it be removed, if not what is her life expectancy?

: I believe that only a neurosurgeon can answer your questions after reviewing appropriate tests and examining your Mom. Her attending physician would assess her ability to undergo neurosurgery though.

May need biopsy: You need to see endocrinologist and most likely have   fine needle aspiration and or biopsy, you may need blood work and radioactive iodine scan of thyroid as well.

No: No nodule in the isthmus is normal. Most are removed.

It is too small!: Small nodules in the Adrenal gland do not require any immediate treatment if they are asymptomatic and found incidentally(Incidentaloma ). If the nodule increases to a size of &gt;10 mm (1CM), then it will require periodic monitoring, perhaps once yearly to verify if it is growing in size or producing any hormones which can then produce symptoms. You may visit and consult an Endocrinologist if needed

Nodule: Is there a palpable lump at the right side of your neck?  Either way I feel the next course of action is to have an evaluation by a head and neck surgeon. He/she will examine you thoroughly and confer with the radiologist to determine whether further imaging studies or a biopsy will be the next step.

A nodule on pleura: This is what is says. A 15 mm nodule or mass seen to be on or closely associate withe the pleura or lining of the lung or chest wall. Ie it is not with in the lung itself.

Thyroid?: I think you mean nodules in your thyroid gland.  Multinodular goiter is a common problem.  If your TSH is normal then you are feeling awful for another reason.  If the nodules are not hyperfunctioning there should be no symptoms except potential compressive symptoms in the neck.

9 mm nodule in rt middle lobe.3 mos was 1.4 cm and also found 3.5mm nod in same lobe. 6 mos both stable but now have 6 mm nod in rt lower lobe.remove?

Generally, one does: NOT go in and surgically remove multiple nodules in the lungs.  A biopsy may be necessary to get a diagnosis, but this would be to obtain a specimen for microscopic analysis &amp; culture.  Once it's been determined what the nodules consist of, then a appropriate treatment can be implemented.  Sometimes no treatment is needed.  Best wishes.  Dr. Anne.
