Too small to say: Lesions that are <1cm are difficult to diagnose definitively. In these situations, we typically recommend a repeat imaging test (ct or mri) in 4-6 months. If the nodule is unchanged, it is unlikely to be cancer. If the nodule does grow, then it's appearance can be evaluated and treatment plans made accordingly.
