Hysteroscopy/D&amp;C: Patient is already scheduled for hysteroscopy/d&amp;C with general anesthesia. Patient should take paxil, Ativan and codeine today and do not take any in am. Avoid anastarzole(NSAID) today, tomorrow and resume day after surgery. Inform the anesthesiologist and your doctor of all that you took in am.

Adequate Water forU : Good day;
Eight glasses of water a day is average for an active person. However, the more active the individual the more water is recommended. If you engage in activity that causes sweat, drink extra water. Hot or humid weather = more water. Fever, diarrhea or vomiting, more water. If your susceptible to bladder infections or creating stones- more water. Your pee  should be almost light yellow!

: Yes. You also add the fluid value in foods which in things like applesauce is 95% water. Many vegetables are 60% water.  Fluid value enough to keep you peeing at least every 6 hours is adequate to maintain hydration. Counting ounces of fluid intake is not necessary.

Yes: Decaffeinated beverages count. The reason that caffeinated beverages don't is that caffeine is a diuretic. Thus, your urinary losses would counter any fluid intake you gained by drinking the beverage. Hope this helps!

There are 3 main: codeine-like meds: Codeine phosphate (Tylenol (acetaminophen) #3) hydrocodone (Vicodin) and oxycodone (Percocet &amp; Oxycontin).  Codeine metabolizes to small concentrations of morphine.  Hydrocodeine metabolizes to oxymorphone.  Oxycodone metabolizes to oxymorphone.  A healthy, well-hydrated person will clear these drugs in about 3 days. For most jobs, if u have a valid Rx, your test results won't include codeine.
