hi my 7 month old girl, doesnt sleep through the night, she uses a pacifier to go down to sleep, any advice on how to get her to sleep through the night?

Eliminate pacifier: A kid best learns to re-settle in the night when they learn to go down without a crutch. Pacifiers fall out &amp; go missing, rocking, etc. all are not something they can do when they cycle in sleep during the night. Read/talk to her from a distance as she settles. In time she will learn to self settle in the night (week or more).

Sounds fine: After a kid passes 10 lbs they can often go 8+ hours without eating as long as they feed enough during the day to keep growing.Think of the stomach as a loading dock.The intestines actually sustain the baby & growth & can do so over long periods.

Limit day nap duratn: Few children sleep more than 4 hours of deep sleep without cycling into lighter sleep. Properly trained infants get their deep sleep when u try to get yours. If they flip "days with nights", u can flip them back by limiting day naps to 2hrs. Get them up using tricks if needed for 5min before letting them snooze again.Within a few days they should flip back.

Being a parent: This common situation can be frustrating. But, it is your duty to teach him to sleep. This means you must let him be. Once in bed you must not pick him up. Avoid interacting with him regardless of the fuss. You can gently check on him, but let him not win the attention he is seeking when he should be sleeping.

If he is not teething i would be concerned about milk or food intolerence.For teething you can have your child chomp on cold things, like a half of a frozen bagel.For milk intolerence determination add lactaid tablets to child's formula and see his response.In the end you should discuss the problem with your doctor.

7 Month: I have my own 3 year old and he still moans not as much though, but he does the same with the bottle story. The older they get the less it happens. So yes it is normal.

Dreaming: Sometimes children are dreaming...Reenacting their days and may cry out. Sometimes it may be a little gas that moves on... Maybe it is teething discomfort that bothers him but does not wake him up. No matter what it is, as long as he goes back to sleep and there are not other problems it is considered normal.

Teething: At this age he may be teething and the pain is waking him up.. Try giving him Ibuprofen or tylenol (acetaminophen) before bedtime for pain relief.
