About 44 lbs...: Using the cdc female growth chart guidelines which the most current posted data is from 2000, a 6 year old female can range from  36 lbs (5% percentile) to about 58 lbs (95% percentile) and still be considered normal.  If you wish to use 50% percentile to consider average then that would be about 44 lbs,  the growth charts can be found with a google search for cdc growth charts.

Poor weight gain: Has your pediatrician recommended a work-up including urinalysis, urine culture, cbc, complete metabolic panel, thyroid function tests, celiac panel (tissue transglutaminase iga) and bone age? In addition, has her caloric intake been investigated? Please consult a pediatrician and nutritionist first and specialists later for the abnormal results of the above tests.

Methotrexate: Some children will have sudden weight  gain with the drug while other will lose weight. Was you child on steroids before? That drug can certainly cause weight gain.

Needs work : I would want to find out why he is eating so much &amp; so often. Are his chosen foods triggering new eating too soon (lots of carbs do that) ? Has something stressed him or effected him emotionally where he is craving to meet an emotional need? These are issues a clinical dietitian and or child psychologist may need to explore with him. Otherwise bad health &amp; obesity are his future.

Zithromax dosage: The appropriate dose of Azithromycin for a child of 25 Kg is not the same as the dose for the adult.  Higher doses are sometimes used for diseases like Pertussis.

OD on antibiotics: There have been recent reports to suggest that for community acquired pneumonia, a single primary line of antibiotics such as Amoxicillin is sufficient. Azithromycin, preferred for its shorter duration has limited efficacy. Adding Augmentin, (amoxicillin and clavulanate) which has another chemical added to Amoxicillin, to another antibiotic is thus not generally advised, unless your doctor determines resistance or other causes

Dehydration: The lack of eating is okay, but the lack of drinking can really cause problems. Dehydration can cause major problems, including kidney issues, etc. If your child is dehydrated (which is definitely the case after 3 days of no liquids), take him to a clinic that can give him fluids and figure out what's going on. He should be treated within the next 6 hours.

Workup necessary.: Language disorders (expressive and receptive are the most common) are among the most common learning problems in children (and adults too). Check with your pediatrician and your school's child study team. Be sure hearing is normal. Checking for many causes of learning problems is what your pediatrician is there for.

Pediatrician: She needs to be checked for reflux and other anatomical changes, but a skilled doctor will also be able to detect whether this is an early onset eating disorder.
