A member asked:

My 6 year old daughter always been 5th percentile, takes 4 ever to eat, when shea in school she tends to lose weight, not enough time to eat she says?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Poor weight gain: Has your pediatrician recommended a work-up including urinalysis, urine culture, cbc, complete metabolic panel, thyroid function tests, celiac panel (tissue transglutaminase iga) and bone age? In addition, has her caloric intake been investigated? Please consult a pediatrician and nutritionist first and specialists later for the abnormal results of the above tests.
