Humidity : Not sure where u live. Dry weather is the most common cause of bleeding nose apart from nose picking which can lead to bleeding. If this is true, use a humidifier at night in her bedroom. Use saline drops when she goes to bed . If this continues after her runny nose is gone, have he checked out with her pediatrician. Do not let her eat too much chocolate or fried foods or junk food

Pressure: Apply pressure to nose  for at least 5 minutes. Sometime you have to do it for up to an hour (rarely) before going to er.  Apply vaseline to nostril at night an once during the day (this prevents dryness).

Normal / common: Kids commonly get nose bleeds when they are exposed to airborne irritants (smoke, fragrance, fumes, dust, allergens) or dry heat. They often awake with a bloody pillow after rubbing their nose into it during sleep and having a bleed. Nasal saline wash or jells and humidified air help reduce the frequency.Avoidance of irritants is the primary method of prevention.

Dryness: Most common cause of a nose bleeds is drying of the nasal membranes, lack of humidity.If  prone to recurrent nosebleeds, it is often helpful to try lubricating the nose with an ointment of some type. Nosebleed: Should not blow nose for 5-7 days. Cut finger nails short. if persists, need to see pediatrician or ENT to check for infection, foreign body, etc.

Vaseline, moisture: Try using a small dab of Vaseline in the entrance of each nostril before bedtime every evening. This will help with the dryness and irritation that causes bleeding.
