More  mucous: Mucous is constantly  being produced  in  the  gland of  the inner  cervix.       Therefore  you may have another smaller   plug of  mucous  at any time.   If you have  been examined recently  or  have been intimate  you may  also have some  bloody  mucous.    Call you  md   if you are not sure  of  what is happening.

More mucus: Your cervix continues to produce mucus even after the "plug" is released.  Stripping you membranes likely released more.

Obgyn visit: If you are concerned you might be in labor now then contact your doctor. Some people can stay 2 cm for weeks. Others will labor soon. When your doctor checks you the two of you can discuss your individual circumstance and discuss the likelihood of going in to labor.

Probably nothing: You havent mentioned anything that is alarming to me. Please discuss your concerns with your doctor.

Uncertian: those are all good signs.  The cervix needs to thin before dilating and the contractions need to be strong and regular.  it may still take days to weeks before full labor and delivery

Pregnancy: Why do you want to rush that? You are full term at 38-40 weeks. Let that baby gtow and develop as long as possible! talk to your OB but usually they also prefer everything to go as nature intends. Please don't rush your little ones birthday!

Ask your OB: If u are 36 weeks 7 days that means u are 37 weeks, your OB may or may not want you to be doing anything, you are term , but sometimes the lungs are not all the way mature at 37 weeks, so your OB may want you to wait unless you naturally go into labor or get srom, I am sure your OB can strip your membranes at 38 weeks and that should put u into labor if you are already 4 cm.

General malaise/preg: This sounds like a systemic viral/bacterial infection and at ten weeks of pregnancy, you should see your physician asap, or go to a university hospital if available where a board certified ob/gyn is on call.
