You can as long as: calories burned exceed calories consumed. Drink at least 8  - 8 oz glasses of water per day. Try for 8 hours of sleep/night.  Aim for at least 5 servings of vegetables &amp; 4 servings of fruit per day. Use whole grain when possible. Avoid sodas, alcohol &amp; junk carbohydrates. Get in a good mix of aerobic &amp; weight lifting exercises.

i like to lose weight by eating ground meat with vegetables for one meal then next meal just peanut butter jelly sandwich and yogurt its way under 1500 calories but i scared eating that less calories damage my good eye bec i blind in one eye. safe?

: Restricting your caloric intake would not affect your vision. To be on the safe side, take multivitamin supplements in case your diet does not provide an optimum amount.

Healthy diet: A healthy diet should have some of all the food groups- protein, fat, carbs, etc. The main concern with your diet is that it seems very low in fiber (other than some nuts and flax seed). Do you have any problems with constipation? Adding more fruits and vegetables and high-fiber carbs may help. Are you taking a multi-vitamin? You are probably not getting all your nutrients.

Maybe they all are: One must ask, "How much cubed papaya is in one cup?"  If she assumes one cup is always an 8-ounce cup, there still remains a variable or two. So, what are the variables? One is the size of the cubes... the smaller the cubes, the more papaya and the less air space will be in the cup (thus more calories). Another variable may be the type of papaya such as the variety, ripeness, water content, etc...

Starving yourself makes you lose muscle and decrease your metabolic rate so in the end people often don't lose or rebournd..  Eat 1200 cal of fruits, veggies, whole grains and lean protein daily.  Each pound of weight is worth approx 3500 calories, so if you burn off 2200 cal and eat 1200/day, you will lose 2 lb/week.

About 3 days: It depends on how much the drop in calories is and how much exercise a person is doing. For example, dropping daily calories by 50, and exercising by walking around the block once, will not be noticeable for a long while. But, for the average person, dropping a 300-500 calories a day, and exercising for 30-40 minutes each day, she will notice her body feels better and stronger after a few days.

Yes, but: The regaining of weight in that situation usually is partly water weight. Water is 8 pounds per gallon, so is quite heavy. If a fasting person were drinking plenty of water during her fast, then it is less likely that the returned weight is water weight. Each person's situation is somewhat unique. One's body also wants to replenish its glycogen stores (fuel) that were being used during fasting.
