Why with out ?: Probably ( unfortunately ) 12 months if untreated, over all IV a has17% IV b has 15% survival rate, also depends on type of tumor and cell activity etc. Good palliation is possible now with chemo radiation , currently great chemo therapeutic agents are available palliation is getting better.

It depend on grade: This is a limited survival situation unfortunately. The amount of disease and the grade of the tumor would determine the outcome. A high grade tumor might be a few months, but a low grade tumor might be somewhat prolonged. Hard to say without details.
