Doctor ordered a HIDA scan without ejection fraction. What's the point if I won't see gallbladder ejection fraction?

In brief: Rule out Acute Chole

The doctor ordered it to make sure your cystic duct is open and you do not have an Acute Cholecystitis, a common bile duct or small bowel obstruction.
You stated that you have Gilbert's disease. Thus the doctor may also want to see if you have acute hepatocellular disease. The Ejection fraction will tell him if you do or do not have chronic cholecystitis.

In brief: Depends on symptoms

HIDA study without CCK or fatty meal to determine ejection fraction is usually done to evaluate anatomy and transit of radiopharmaceutical in someone with elevated bilirubin.
Gilbert's syndrome is common, mild liver condition in which liver doesn't properly process a substance called bilirubin.HIDA test would be performed to see if any evidence of bilary obstruction. If biliary colic gbef necessary
