In brief: Eat lots of protein
Milk & dairy products are not your only source of protein and certainly not an absolute requirement for muscle growth.
Instead, focus on consuming lots of non-dairy protein thru out the day, eg fish, chicken, beans, etc. And don't forget regular exercise, too.
