Anticardiolipin antibodies

Share

Link copied

Cardiolipin is the equivalent of a mitochondrial factor, and so anticardiolipin antibodies are considered to be anti-mitochondrial antibiodies. They are also found in various diseases (such as syphilis, antiphospholipid syndrome, behçet's syndrome, systemic lupus erythematosus). They can be seen in association with spontaneous abortions too.
