Breathing noises include wheezing while breathing out, and stridor while breathing in. Stridor is an abnormal, high-pitched, musical breathing sound caused by a blockage in the throat or voice box (larynx). Stridor is of particular concern because it may represent the first symptom of a developing airway blockage.
