Septal perforation: Whistling from your nose is often a sign of an anterior septal perforation. The septum divides the 2 sides of your nose and separates the airflow through your nose. If your septum has a hole or perforation in it, air can cross over and whistle like a flute. Some common causes of this are trauma, Cocaine abuse, too many cauteries, or surgery to the septum. Visit an ENT to have your nose examined.
