Why is.my 22 month old son making a very very loud wheezy noise when he's breathing and crying real bad like he's in pain? but only when he's awake?

Sore throat?: If he has upper respiratory symptoms and discomfort, the wheezy & crying might go together. If he is feeding and peeing normally, and alert like usual, then can see Pediatrician if persists. If no to any of those three, call Dr tonight and get further instruction.
