Blinking eyes
Blinking is the normal mechanism for keeping the ocular surface clear and vision sharp. The tear film is THE most critical layer responsible for clear vision. Best analogy is that of a car windshield. If your driving through a dusty or dry area the view becomes cloudier and cloudier without using the windshield washer function periodically. It's the same with the surface of the eye w/o blinking
