A member asked:

Is not blinking damaging to the eyes?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Depends what you mean. You blink to keep the tear film over the surface of the eye, which protects the eye from infection and keep the surface moist and vision clear. When reading sometimes one does not blink enough and results in blurred vision and tearing. This is not serious, but annoying.
