Ultrasonic liposuction

Ultrasonic liposuction uses the energy of sound waves to break up and separate the fat from the surrounding connective tissue. It can be advantageous to use this technique in areas where fat is surrounded by fibrous tissue such as in the male chest. Ultrasonic liposuction carries the increased risk of sub-dermal thermal injury, as the tip of the device can generate substantial heat.
