Ultrasound : Ultrasound assisted lipoplasty (ual) can be used for body contouring. The ultrasound energy disrupts the adipocytes (fat cells). Then standard liposuction is performed to remove the disrupted fat. The cannula does generate a fair amount of heat and this can burn the skin. Burns can occur anywhere in the treatment area. Burns can be prevented with good surgeon technique, however, even with good technique you may get burns at the site of cannula entry. Minor burns will heal with no treatment or minor wound care. Deeper burns or scarring may require surgical excision.

Comprehensive v fat: Although ultrasonic assisted liposuction (ual) may remove localized fatty deposits, your problem is more likely to benefit from a tummy tuck due to loose skin and muscles which the ual will not treat. Whereas the abdominoplasty treats all components of the abdominal wall (skin, fat and muscle), liposuction only removes fat and does not address loose skin or separated muscles.

U/S & laser can burn: Both ultrasound and laser assisted liposuction can cause burns on the skin. Don't be fooled by the marketing and technology, what really matters is the surgeon handling it. Find an experienced board certified plastic surgeon for your liposuction.

Yes: If not done properly by a properly trained board certified plastic surgeon, then can cause burn injury. Other specialty trained physicians unfortunately claim to have proper experience or training but they do not.
