Tonsillectomy adenoidectomy
Tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy is the surgical procedure that describes the removal of both tonsils and adenoid tissue through the mouth. Tonsils are located in the back of the mouth at the sides of the throat, and adenoid tissue is located at the space just beyond the back of the nose. T&a surgery is performed with the patient under general anesthesia, typically on an outpatient basis.
