Skin graft
A skin graft is surgically placed piece of skin that is used to cover a wound. It can be a full thickness piece of skin, or a split thickness skin graft, meaning not all layers of the dermis are included. They each have different characteristics, and may be used on different parts of the body. Skin grafts are often used for treatment of burns, traumatic injuries, or reconstruction.
